Dr Laurence (Laurie) Sullivan is a highly skilled Corneal Specialist with extensive expertise in the medical and surgical management of anterior segment (front-of-the-eye) conditions. His practice includes small-incision refractive cataract surgery, advanced corneal disease management and laser refractive procedures including LASIK, PRK and SMILE.
Dr Sullivan has held a significant public hospital teaching role at the Corneal Clinic at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, where he has played an important role in training ophthalmology registrars and fellows. Since 1994, he has been a Clinical Associate at the University of Melbourne’s Department of Ophthalmology and the Centre for Eye Research Australia.

Dr Sullivan has extensive experience in corneal and refractive surgery, including small-incision cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, keratoconus management and laser vision correction.
At the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, he has contributed significantly to registrar and fellow training and to clinical research, producing numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters.
Internationally, he has played a key role in ophthalmology education and examination development in Cambodia and Vietnam, in addition to volunteering in Nepal and Fiji. His commitment to education and service reflects a career dedicated to both excellence in patient care and advancement of the profession.
