Dr Marc Wei is a principal LASIK and Cataract Surgeon with over 20 years of specialist experience. He graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1989 and completed his specialist ophthalmology training at the Royal Brisbane, Princess Alexandra and Mater Hospitals in Brisbane, achieving Fellowship in 1998.
Following his Australian training, Dr Wei undertook further subspecialty training in glaucoma, cataract and paediatric ophthalmology at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children and King’s College Hospital in London, UK.

Dr Wei completed specialist ophthalmology training in Brisbane before undertaking advanced subspecialty training in the United Kingdom. He has been a leading refractive and cataract surgeon at LASERSIGHT since 2000, performing more than 25,000 procedures.
His experience encompasses a full spectrum of laser and lens-based refractive procedures, including PRK, LASIK, ICL implantation and multifocal IOL surgery. He also has additional training in glaucoma and paediatric ophthalmology.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Wei is actively involved in teaching, research and international volunteer surgical programs.
