Dr Georgia Cleary is a Cornea Specialist and Ophthalmic Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in corneal refractive laser and cataract surgery. Her focus is on achieving optimal visual outcomes tailored to each patient’s professional and lifestyle needs.
She completed her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Western Australia and undertook ophthalmology training in London, United Kingdom. During this time, she also completed a PhD exploring cataract surgery and intraocular lens design.

Dr Cleary completed her ophthalmology training in London before undertaking advanced corneal subspecialty fellowships at Moorfields Eye Hospital and the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.
She currently serves as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at RVEEH, contributing to the Corneal Service and the Surgical and Acute Ophthalmology Services. Her clinical work spans complex cataract surgery, corneal transplantation and refractive laser procedures.
In addition to her clinical role, Dr Cleary is deeply involved in research and education. She has presented internationally, received multiple research awards and lectures at the University of Melbourne’s School of Optometry and Visual Sciences.
