Biography
Dr Ben Cumming is a Cataract and Refractive Surgeon and Comprehensive Ophthalmologist with expertise in advanced cataract and vision correction procedures. He completed medical school at the University of New South Wales and specialist ophthalmology training in Melbourne.
Dr Cumming undertook advanced cataract surgery training at Northern Health and the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, with a focus on complex cataract surgery, premium intraocular lenses and personalised IOL selection. He has also completed further refractive surgery training through London Vision Clinic and the University of Sydney, with experience in LASIK, PRK, KLEx and implantable collamer lens (ICL) procedures.

Dr Cumming completed advanced cataract surgery training at Northern Health and the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, developing expertise in managing complex cataract cases and personalised refractive solutions. He also undertook additional refractive surgery training through London Vision Clinic and the University of Sydney.
He currently holds public appointments at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and Northern Health. Dr Cumming also has international surgical experience from the Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology in Nepal, where he participated in outreach eye camps and performed high-volume manual small incision cataract surgery.
