Dr Armand Borovik is an Ophthalmic Surgeon specialising in Cataract, Corneal and Refractive Surgery. He completed his ophthalmology training at Prince of Wales Hospital, where he served as Professorial Senior Registrar in his final year.
Dr Borovik subsequently undertook a two-year subspecialty fellowship at the University of Toronto, Canada, under internationally renowned surgeon Dr David Rootman. During this time, he gained extensive experience in all aspects of corneal surgery, including minimally invasive partial-thickness corneal transplantation techniques and artificial cornea implantation. Dr Borovik completed specialist ophthalmology training at Prince of Wales Hospital before undertaking a two-year corneal and refractive fellowship at the University of Toronto. His fellowship training provided advanced exposure to complex corneal transplantation techniques, artificial cornea surgery and refractive procedures.
He has extensive experience in cataract and lens-based refractive surgery, corneal transplantation (including partial-thickness techniques such as DALK and DMEK), laser vision correction and keratoconus management.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Borovik is actively involved in education and research, having published widely and taught advanced corneal and anterior segment surgical techniques internationally.
