Dr Patrick Versace is a highly experienced Cataract and Refractive Surgeon with more than 25 years of practice as a specialist ophthalmologist. He holds academic appointments as Senior Lecturer in Optometry and Medicine at the University of New South Wales and serves as a Staff Specialist Ophthalmologist at The Prince of Wales Hospital Randwick and Sydney Eye Hospital, where he is involved in clinical service and registrar surgical training.
After obtaining anaesthetic qualifications in London, Dr Versace completed his specialist ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. Dr Versace completed his ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital after gaining anaesthetic qualifications in London. He has held longstanding public hospital appointments at The Prince of Wales Hospital and Sydney Eye Hospital, contributing to clinical care and surgical training.
He has extensive experience in laser and lens-based refractive surgery, having treated thousands of patients over more than two decades. His work has included the clinical development of new intraocular lens technologies and advanced refractive techniques, including wavefront-guided surgery.
