Dr Chris Qureshi is a specialist Vitreoretinal Surgeon with over 13 years of experience in ophthalmology. He graduated with a double degree in Medical Science and Medicine and Surgery from the University of New South Wales and completed a Master of Medicine (Ophthalmic Science) at the University of Sydney. His thesis focused on the delivery of eye care in rural and remote Australian communities, with particular emphasis on Indigenous Australians.
Dr Qureshi completed two vitreoretinal fellowships: one at Westmead Hospital in Sydney and another at the prestigious Oxford University and Oxford Eye Hospital in the United Kingdom. As a Senior Staff Specialist at Westmead Hospital, he manages complex retinal and macular conditions and contributes extensively to surgical education and research. His expertise spans retinal detachment repair, macular surgery, medical retina management and advanced cataract procedures.
Dr Qureshi takes a patient-centred and evidence-based approach to care. He prioritises clear communication and collaborative decision-making to ensure patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options.
